The Indian Touch

We Indians have the most vibrant, fun and fascinating weddings which gives us a lot of reasons to get dressed up. Today, we’ll be talking about some pre-wedding rituals/functions which are mehendi & sangeet. These entail fun, laughter, music and dance, which calls for an equally fun outfit!!!! 😀

A fun outfit doesn’t always mean ‘burn a hole in your pocket outfit’. We are talking about very basic pieces of apparel from your closet which you can reuse with minimum effort and be a part of the glam or even be the glam. 😉

The Boss Babe

If you are one of those ‘Oh! Not so traditional’ one, don’t worry, I got you covered. Pick out the brightest pair of solid coloured pants you have, grab a comfy casual shirt in any colour and pattern (checks, plaid, stripes etc.), that goes well with your bottoms. Tie your shirt up into a crop top, to add that oomph factor to your look. Here, I have paired red coloured palazzo pants with checkered shirt. Keeping in with the tone of the outfit, I went with a tribal necklace, neutral clutch, silver watch and black heels.

The Desi Babe

If you are the one who is a fan of getting dressed up the ‘desi’ way; keeping the same bottom, opt for a ethnic top in a bright colour, like I have done here with a dark blue top, which compliments the red colour of the bottoms. Accessorising it up with all the silver jewelry, the extravagant jhumkas being my absolute favourite! Let’s not forget about the multicoloured potli, adding up the perfect amount of bling to the entire look, making you all set for the function.

Also, dance to your heart’s content. 🙂

Sunnies Up!!

Starting the new year on a new note, wishing you all a very Happy New Year and hoping that this year gives us all a lot of reasons to dress up and step out (wearing a mask of course). 😃

Gone are the days when we girls need to stress over wearing the same piece of apparel multiple times and feel redundant. You can wear the same outfit and still slay.

Accessorising it Up

It’s no secret that shorts are the fashionably comfortable piece of clothing to our rescue for any social gathering. Hence, pairing it up with a spaghetti top is the way to do it. Here, I have paired up a multi-coloured spaghetti top with a solid green shorts. Completing the look with a golden layered neck piece and beige coloured bellies. Also, never forget your sunglasses before stepping out, because if we are going to do it better step out in style. 😛 Although, I have chosen to go empty wrist, you can add a golden bracelet to match the neck piece, a chunky bracelet, or a wrist watch to suit your style. 😃

I always believe more the colours, more vibrant the outfit is. So, slip in to your favourite pair of colourful sneakers, as creating contrast never hurt anyone. Here, I’ve paired the outfit with yellow sneakers, a black metal neck piece (I wrapped it around my neck to make it into a choker, to go with the look), and a wrist watch. Ah! of course, not to forget the round frame sunglasses. 😛

Finalllllyyyyyy!! Everything and anything goes with Jeans. Here, pairing the spaghetti top with high waist knee-slit black jeans (Phew! 😅). Completing the look with black coloured neck piece, wine coloured peep toes and again our favourite pair of round frame sunglasses. One can never go wrong with a pair sunglasses.

That’s all for now. Hope you move forward on to the path of success and no matter where you go, always do it in style.❤️

‘Juttis’ goes with Everything

Disclaimer: All the images are of the pre-pandemic world. Stay Home. Stay Safe.

‘Juttis’ or ‘Punjabi Juttis’ as they are popularly known, are a type of Indian footwear popular in the northern region of the country. All the girls out there must have paired those beautiful Juttis with traditional suit-salwar and dupatta (Indian stole) to go with. But let me tell you this secret, Juttis indeed go with everything. Don’t believe me? See for yourself.

Tip 1: Pairing juttis with skirt

You have a day out planned with your girls and you choose to wear a cute printed skirt along with a solid shade top. You feel like enjoying yourself to the fullest and don’t want to be burdened by the pain that kills you from wearing heels. These beautiful colourful pair of comfortable footwear has the power to take your outfit a notch higher.
Skirt: Maxi, Mini, Midi or Short, you can ditch your regular pair of bellies to slip into these beauties. Multicolored juttis give you the option to choose amongst various colours, either you can opt for the colours existing in your outfit or you can always go for contrast.

Here, the muticolour floral printed skirt can be paired with other colours such as white, sky blue, green, indigo and pink to go with. No matter which colour you opt for the jutti will always make a statement out of it.

There’s a reason why we absolutely love denim, the sheer quality of it to make other colours pop and provide a subtle edge to the whole outfit. Here, I have paired multicoloured juttis with denim skirt and crop top. It’s upto you to choose the vibe of the outfit just by adding the right pair of juttis to it.

Tip 2: One piece

Everyone of us went crazy with the idea of pairing our dresses with sneakers. Guess what! The same can be done with the Juttis! They give the outfit a touch of Indian-ness and of course with the added comfort of right away slipping your feet into them. Here, I’ve paired the black T-shirt dress with a denim jacket and completed the look with the juttis! Both the black colour and denim give us great space for experimenting with elements of your outfit. You can even pair it with blue colour juttis like I did or even go for a solid shade jutti of your choice.

Tip 3: Jeans

Yes my dear fellows! They do go with our all time favorite jeans! Pair your jeans with a crop top, a tee or a kurti, as I’ve been telling you ‘Juttis go with everything’! Here, I’ve paired a black jeans with a navy blue sweater; the addition of a beige coat neutralises the dark shades! Now that you pair it with the juttis and a matching handbag with it, all the colors stand out given the fact they are perfectly balanced.

Ciao Readers! See you. Stay Safe. 😀

Jazz Up Your Pair Of Shorts!!

Everyone owns a pair of shorts that they love, no matter what the occasion is, it’s your go to pair and something in which you can be fashionably comfortable. But the thing that we girls dread the most is repeating an outfit!

So, here I am sharing a few tips on how to jazz up that cute pair of shorts you own like a pro.

Grab a pair of shorts of solid colour and pair it up with the quirkiest top you own. A multicolored top will work wonders for a hangout with friends. I’ve done the same with the outfit as you can see in the pic above.

Adding colours to your outfit spares you from accesorising your outfit. Mix and match saves you from the headache of having matching accesories.

Having a neutral shade in your outfit balances the other shades you’re opting for.

So I have paired a grey pair of shorts with a multicoloured blue top with asymmetrical hem and a pair of maroon footwear. I personally love watches, you can go either for a minimilastic silver bracelet or a blingy one. Oh Yes! Most importantly, always wear your brightest smile.

You think beaches, and automatically ‘shorts’ pop up in your mind! They’re the go to piece of clothing to enjoy peaceful walks alongside the beach.

If you are not a fan of floral prints or large prints of any sorts, you can always opt for another solid shade for your top to go with your favourite pair of shorts. Solid shades gives space for experimenting with accesories. You have to be wise with the choice of the jewelry you opt for, it should be well suited for the occassion.

I have paired the shorts with black top and a cute silver neck piece and flip flops to go with the outfit. You don’t want to be wearing a footwear that encloses your feet because the last thing you want is your feet all up in the sand, since that’s quite irksome.

I also carried an off white purse along with it. You can opt for silver framed sunglasses. The ones I’m wearing in the pic were totally in then.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog, and which inspires me to write more of these. Ciao.
